Hi,
Again Apologies... I don't just post because Im lonely and it beats talking to the wife..... well as well as those I think it helps others!!!!
My New Combi Alpha CD35C has a wireless programming stat....
Has anyone come across this.... I like things simple and easy to use... its puzzling me.... if I want just a quick advance I have to raise the minimum temperature from 6c and the permanent display seems to indicate I live with a volcano ( I have tried moving programmer - still same!!!)

Thanks you boys

Assuming you have the Alpha Easystat, the instructions are at http://www.alpha-boilers.com/products/downloads/controls/alpha_7day_digital_easystat.pdf

Thanks,
I have those instructions. I just find that if you want heat outside of programme.... you have to increase temp from minimum (6c) in my case to 19/20c. Previously I would just boost!!!
It seems over complex for sake!!!

Are you using pre-set programme P2, or have you set up customized programs for each day, Pd? If you are frequently having to override during off periods it might be worthwhile changing the on/off times using the Pd facility.

Yeah was using P2. Have now programmed PD but am in and out of house all day so wife is NEVER happy!! Just wondered if someone had come across these frequently! Why does it have minimum temp and max temp....? Should I just change min temp to 15c?????
Thanks

The minimum temperature setting comes into effect during OFF times. Its main purpose is to prevent the house getting too cold when the heating is off for a long time, e.g. holidays. If you raise the minimum to 15c there is a possibility that the heating may come on in the middle of the night.
Maximum temp is just to prevent someone turning the wick up too high.

You may be in and out of the house all day, but is your wife in all day or out?

You won't save any money by continuously turning the temperature up and down. If the house is effectively occupied most of the day, it would be better to have the heating on from morning to night and just turn it off when you go to bed.
