hi - got the above in my car, i lose all sound settings and preset once the face is removed..i understand it needs a permenant live connection on the back...ive located a permenant 12v live wire in my car buy the unit...can someone tell me where it is connected to on the unit connector...?...i dont have the unit installation manual..ta

The red wire goes to the ignition switch.
The yellow wire goes to battery positive.

aye, yellow is permanent live, red is ignition switched. in some cars this is reversed for some reason, if you are using a harness adapter you can just reverse the red and yellow cables

You have to be careful as to which car it is. Vauxhalls for example have the permanent and ignition lives the wrong way around on the ISO block which means that you need to change them on the loom.

Normally they have bullet connectors on them so pull the red and yellow appart and make the red go to the yellow and vice versa.
