Some of the walls were uneven so I sanded and filled them, and then painted with Dulux matt paint, but other walls looked fine so I sanded them a bit to take the shine of the existing vinyl silk (didn't know about this site at the time so probably didn't sand them in the right way) and just put a couple of coats of Dulux matt on top.
Now when my 4 year old spills a drink on the wall the matt paint washes away leaving the vinyl silk colour showing through. Same when I try to rub off and crayon marks he draws on the wall.
I've seen someone suggest Zinsser Bullseye 1 2 3 on another thread, can I apply this now, or do I have to sand everything off to the plaster and start from the beginning?
BTW, spoke to B&Q staff today and he suggested that the problem is not with keying to the vinyl silk, but the paint. He recommended just painting over it with another coat of Dulex Matt Endurance which is designed to be washable.
Do the experts here agree?
