Hi,
Been working on rebuilding some tumbledown retaining walls on the driveway, I have relaid the top two layers of brick etc as they became massively damaged due to not having any coping stone to deflect the rain.
I am looking at a cheep and cheerful solution as the walls will be painted white and the tops black with masonry paint (to keep inline with the rest of the house), one idea was to buy concrete paving slabs and cut them into strips with an angle grinder to use instead of coping stone (then painted). I know they will not have the drip lines but the walls will be painted anyway to protect them and coping stone would cost be a few hundred quid for the length of the wall.
Would this work?
Cheers in advance for any answers.
