are there any expereinced/qualified roofers here?
I have been putting up hardro roofing tiles on the gable end ridge, and so theyr'e cemented over the facia.
the builders merchants said i could use either ali., or galv. nails, so thinking that the tiles being heavy, ali. ones might be too bendy for a heavy tile, so got the galv. ones, as the old ones were galv.
the ones i've put in are also sligtly thinner than the older galv. clout nails too @ 3mm thick.
after seeing posts about fixing them and my mistake, my questions:
1. should i need to worry?
2. are they a safty hazard? (pitched roof & nails just hang over the batton)
3. should i get back up, and risk damaging the tiles by breaking the cement off were and pull the tiles off to replace the nails?
