Anchor bolts sizing

Hello Folks
I want to anchor bolt 150 x 50mm trimmed joist with joist hangers nailed onto it to a internal brick wall.

What size anchor bolts would I need to use and what would the spacing be

i used m12 120mm long anchor bolts with a wall plate and they have bolted up nice and tight with maybe a cm or so thread poking out of the timber.

i spaced them every 60cm or so but even that seems a little overkill-though best be safe than sorry : )
