What does the 'Panel' think ?.
Do those sportsmen/women who flog themselves to death a few hours each day for 10-maybe 20 years or so- deserve a Knighthood ?.
Doing a job that pays very well (Amateurs ????) and all the perks that come with it .
Time was when a Knighthood was earned and well deserved for discovering a new country and claiming it for the British Empire.
These days- Knighthoods are handed out like confetti
