Just wondering if anyone can help with this one..

So my existing system (pre Hive) is a hot water cylinder with Air Source Heat Pump (Mitsubishi Ecodan). I have a Mitsubishi FTC2 controller / Danfoss cp715 Programmer / Danfoss RX1 and TP5001 for the room thermostat.

I have replaced the programmer with the Hive - same wiring layout.

The issue I now have is that the RX1 is connected directly to the FTC2 Board and throws up an error if not connected. My Hive is effectively only working as a programmer at the moment as it is using the old RX1/TP5001 for temperature control.

The RX1 is wired as below

Should this be wired to the Hive? In the same layout?

The bridge from Live to 2 confuses me a little!? Not sure the reason for that

Thanks

Still struggling with this - the above 'fix' didn't work

With the thermostat set to be on all the time at max heat, the boiler would never fully turn off - wasn't heating anything but sounded like a pump still doing something.

I'm now thinking a single channel Hive would have been much easier and left the programmer to deal with the HW

Before I buy a new single channel receiver - is all hope lost!? Can I use the dual channel just with CH?

Hi,, I know this post is fairly old..
But I'm on same set up...
Mitsubishi ecodan
Danfoss rx1
Danfoss 715 HW + CH
Danfoss tp5000

I bought hive yesterday and got it working 100 percent...

You must remove danfoss 715 and replace with hive unit..

Rx1 stays in place..but cables must be corrected
Tp5000 remove + remove battery too..as it send WiFi signal

Cable in rx1 as following
  • N
  • L
  • 1-empty
  • 2- as it js
  • 3empty
  • 4 cable from no3 goes to no 4

Hot water will work for you all the time..as it bypass rx1..
Rx1 is for heating only..so only that needs to be sorted for working heating..best of luck
