Hi. I hate to make another thread on this but i cant find the answer im looking for.
Basically we have a 1940s house with 60mm cavity and filled/ blown insulation. I have upstairs bedroom i am doing with two cold walls. One is a window wall.
Im currently debating on plasterboard use. I want to use thermal gyproc thermaline plus on those two walls. Fixing will be dot and dab to brick then mechanical after. I am concerned for moisture behind the plasterboard and does a polythene vapour layer need to be put up before the plasterboard? This will mean adhesive fitting will be impossible. The type i am looking at does not have the foil on the back of the foam. Im not sure if these issues only are a problem on solid stone walls?
