Hi, hope some one can help!

We live in a three story town house and have bought a relatively small sofa for the front room which is on the 1st floor, (it just won't go up the stairs - at all!).

So my question is, I need to remove the lounge wooden framed window but can't see any fixings or screws (anywhere on the frame) holding it in place, the house is only 10 years old, so is there any other way it could be fixed ie. brackets?

I've chopped a section of the inside wall (plasterboard) out where I thought there could be a bracket but it's just more plaster and insulation!

Any ideas of how to remove the window with the least fuss would be greatly appreciated :D

Thanks

the windows where probably bricked in during construction so the fittings may be external and may not be obvious may also have a mortar channel

wooden windows are a much harder to remove unlike replacement windows that are slightly smaller to allow easy fitting
so a major job

Thanks for the reply, I'd got a feeling it was not going to be easy

Thanks again
