Another Roof Coating Conviction!

I was pleased to discover that there has been another conviction involving "roof coatings" ie paints that are widely being missold in the UK at the moment:

Hopefully Trading Standards and local councils can up their game a little further and stamp out this awful practice, I honestly believe that if homeowners knew the truth about these roof tile coatings, very few would pay to have this work completed.

What astonishes me is that some of these roof coating victims actually see their neighbours roof or other roofs in the street that have been coated and STILL have the work done.

I have yet to see a coated roof that looks in any way acceptable. To me they look absolutely hideous.

But... MW Roofline, the owner of that site gets paid when folks click on the links to go check out the scammers, who pay for the priveledge.

Interestingly today, I got chatting to a stair fitter who was telling me how his daughter just quit her job working as a door-to-door salesperson for a roof coating company based in Surrey. Told me she quit cos of the pressure to tell porkies just to get a sale, I pushed him a bit and she was apprently told to tell homeowners they would save up to 30% a year on heating bills and it would increase house value by 10%. She jacked cos apprently the whole sales team knew it was all *******s.
