Hi, installing a shower, WC, and basin in a new extention and as the basin and shower are to go into the unvented soil pipe (via seperate pipes & strap on bosses) I believe I need anti syphon valves to prevent the trap being drawn when the wc is fluched etc.
The basin is no problem, plenty of room and access for an anti syphon trap underneath. However for the shower I have a shallow trap that can be cleaned out from above due to access limitations. So I need to 'anti syphon' it some other how. Can I just put one of these

on a T junction in the outlet pipe on its way to the soil pipe?
Also how prone to failure are they, do they need to be somewhere accessable, i.e. raised up via a pipe thru the floor (the waste for the shower runs under the suspended floor)?
Thanks Anthony
