Any clever ideas to mend my broken concrete sills?

Hi, I had my downpipe replaced and the old cast iron one took the corners of my Victorian concrete window sills with it. Having researched on this forum, I decided that steel rods, shuttering and concrete were the best idea for a fix. I then realised I don't have the wiggle room to drill and fix the rods in place (because the pipe is in the way). Had anybody got any good ideas that might solve my problem? Thanks in advance

Have those sills been deliberately cut, to accommodate the pipes?

You would have space to drill, plug, and install some #8 stainless screws, as reinforcing. You would also need some temporary timber shuttering.

No, I think the corners broke away when the old/ original cast iron downpipe was removed. I wasn't there when the plumber did the work, so I didn't see. Thanks for your advice - I suppose I could get the right angle to put in some screws coming from wall direction rather from the side of the remaining sill (which is too tight). I think that might be my best option.

You could grind in grooves and slide the rebar in sideways, or just put in some concrete screws and use fast setting waterproof cement like bosch cementone

Use an epoxy repair product, not concrete.

For the pipe going through the cill, you'll need a sleeve - open on the front to allow future pipe removal.

Or move the pipe (if there’s an alternative route that can still end up back in the same point on the ground) - easy with scaffolding up and simpler cill repairs

Thanks all. I don't know if what epoxy repair is but I'll research it! Got some good ideas and I'm sure I'll manage one way or another. It's so hard to get tradesmen here (Kent, UK) so I've had to learn to do a lot of things myself on this renovation. Really appreciate you taking the time to advise! Sarah

Seen companies that do stone sill refurbishment.

Also seen them removed and soldier bricks along.
