Any ideas on these marks on the wall?

Hi,

Strange question.

I've just noticed these strange makes on the wall, looks like splatter or dripping but dried and textured

They are in the kitchen, above my chest freezer. Only just noticed them today but never had them before.

Initially I'd have thought condensation, but the kitchen is quite big and never noticed any condensation before

Any ideas? Only thing nearby is the chest freezer and tumble dryer, tumble dryer is rarely used and then chest freezer has been there for sometime and never had this make before

(Ignore the big wet mark on the wall, that was me seeing if it was something that would come off)

Have you asked everyone in the family? Especially as you say that you've only just seen them.
Perhaps someone got something out of the freezer and gave it a shake?
We came back off holiday to find splatters on the underside of the kitchen cabinets. No word from our son minding the house of course. Who knows what it is / was. It's still there though 6 months later lol!

No, all the cooking is done on the over side of the kitchen, which is why I find I very odd

Did ask the missus who claims to know nothing about it, it's odd where it is and no cooking or anything is done near the area.

I do have a 3 year old and do wonder if she is the culprit of something, perhaps the only plausible thing

Might be splashes from a pan or mug being dropped.

Yeah it's all odd, there's nothing around that area,.no cooking or mugs etc round that way.

It does look like splash marks, but can't figure out where they came from. No marks on the freezer/tumble dryer either just above it.

Wondered if it was anything more worrying, but probably not, maybe the missus is keeping it from me what actually happened

She doesn't cook often enough for that, it doesn't feel like grease, it feels raised. My first thought was grease too.

Grease can be found anywhere in a kitchen , it can spit metres or be air bound.

Even with an 11 & 15 year old we still get marks/splashes etc mysteriously occurring.

I'd out off repainting when we moved to this house, was waiting until she's abit older.

Sounds like I'll have a long wait..
