Anybody like magic these days? most tricks are either available to buy, or you can see how they're done on youtube.... so why is it still very popular?


I do like magic though... great for impressing kids !!

I think it's popular because it's clever. They fool the sense into believing something that didn't happen as they thought it did.

I like it. I have the trick where your have some lottery tickeys and they turn into £20's. Bought it in a magic shop in London last year. Had fun on a stag do in Portsmouth with some drunk ladies.

i know that, and magic traditionally is aimed at kids... but most people , especially kids have access to youtube, and nearly every trick is revealed on there... and then there's the show like Breaking the magicians code... and the guy in the mask... how magic has clung on i'll never know !!

Why would I tell? If you watch the trick, you can see how its done. I had to buy the trick to get the one piece of metal required that I did not have. Dont tell me you cant see how its done? - my 7 year old sussed it - albeit about 15 looks at the youtube vid. This is a very basic illusion.

Just a wee illusion involving paper and a bit of metal.

Sounds like something I cannot be bothered with. Bringing extra items stops the spontinaity of the trick. Why you should use anothers deck of cards for instance

my kids 3 and 6 think its great I can make money appear from there ears. And the other week they wanted sweets whilst we were queing to pay in asda and I told em I didnt have enough money for sweets and the eldest suggested that I make some appear from behind there ears again........ (if only she knew)

also I hired a magician to stick the wife in a box and cut her into pieces and make her dissapear apparently he said he wasn't fred west magiacal extravaganza plus he only had a small boot.....
