I have two large (six inch diameter? haven't got them to hand) black stove-enamelled elbows from the flue of the old boiler we have replaced. They're magnificent things, each with an inspection hatch, and I'd hate to skip them. They'd look simply marvellous above the Aga, darling.

Are they worth anything? Or does anyone want them on a collection basis?

If you mean a refuse disposal skip, that seems a bit of a philistine approach, they would cost around £50 each.

PaulAH they're a bit mean at buying and a bit of a rip-off at selling, but Solopark might take them, what about another reclaimed materials yard?

Indeed it does, Oilman. It's horrifying how much re-usable stuff people throw away. I knew a guy who used to work at the local council tip (sorry, Civic Amenity Point) and furnished most of his house with items salvaged over a period of just a few weeks.

I will try Solopark, despite their reputation for maximising margins. At least the the pipes may get a good home.
