Any opinion on how to repair these wooden (timber) frames?

Hi,

I've moved to a new home but the window frames are not in a quite decent state. Is there any way to repair these wooden (timber) frames by varnish or something else? I'm not so much a handyman but all your thoughts are welcome.

I've also found a wood repair and a clear varnish (pictures attached). Do you think these two would help?

Rip them
Out replace with upvc , 1000 times better

No! Light sand and revarnish will be fine.
