I would like to put a floor standing towel rail under a single glazed sash window in my bathroom but it only just fits. The fixing plate virtually touches the window surround.
There is no overhanging window sill, just a small wooden nosing typical of victorian sash windows that sticks out 2/3cm. The towel rail protrudes a fair way (10cm+) from the wall is an open design (see pic) so I think it will be fine.
But is there any regulation again this? Someone told me there is a minimum distance a radiator must be below the bottom of a window or is that just general advice for good convection do you think?
Thanks for any help.
