At the bottom of my shower door, the silver chrome paint has come off or been tarnished.

I thought it was limescale so after brushing some remover on I thought it might look almost new again but this is it.

Is there some paint I can buy that I can at least tart it up a bit but will be fairly resilient to limescale and water?
Some limescale has come back again so that will have to be removed first.

Thanks very much.

It's rusting.
You can't get paint under the edge, so it will come back.
You can treat it with Jenolite and then paint it with two-pack and then a chrome spray, but it will come back.
Time for a new door. Most of them are alloy, and will not give you this problem.
