Hi,

Has anyone laid any of the MarketStone range from Stonemarket? In particular the GreyMulti and BuffMulti.

We are thinking about using it for our garden and would like to see some more pics of real installations rather than the catalouge pics which are a bit small.

Any opinions on how the stone weathers would be good too.
Thanks
Alan

ive laid quite a lot of their paving but not that particular range, as i use a local importer for a better product. Their stuff is quite good, although it can be a bit of a pain to lay from my perspective, but from a customers point of view it is generally good if a little overpriced.

Thanks for the info.

My local supplier will give a good discount for the amount that I'll be buying. I've seen lots of ads on ebay that look a lot cheaper. What do you think about these places?
My local supplier has been very helpful and offer free delivery which seems to be worth a lot. It'll be nice to support a local business aswell. They do have a few "own brand" alternatives aswell.
Why do you say its harder to lay? Its my first time doing this kind of job so any advice is welcome. I've been doing a lot of reading around the subject and feel confident I can do a good job if I take my time and prepare well.

Thanks
Alan

dont touch the ebay stuff with a barge pole. Imported sandstone comes in all different grades. The cheap stuff is cheap for a reason. it can quickly break down in the english climate, and can be very rough and uneven making it hard to lay. the only reason i use a local importer is i know there stuff is good quality. Being able to see it and handle it makes a big difference.
i was refering to the market stone precast slabs rather than the sandstone when i said it can be a pain to lay. i have found there stuff varies in thickness etc which can be a pain. No raeson why you cant do the job yourself, preperation is the key and so is a good base.

Thanks very much. I though that might be the case with ebay stuff.
I'll be back with many more questions once we get stuck into the work...
