Anyone else got a PM from treytrey saying BAS has left? - Genuine or Hoax?

Got a PM from the user treytrey claiming to be BAS saying he has left the forum for reasons that I will not disclose in this thread. Suffice it to say it was on one of my recent threads.

Any truth to this PM that I got, or has someone being trolling around with this account that has the same password as the name?

BAN'S 'people skills' were a little fraught, plenty hereabouts cannot bother to spell or punctuate, so people tend to be just people ! Worse to day with two liner #Twits, I wish my world was that simple.

Plenty of us have learned through his posts where to look, and at times how, so if he has left the room, then the Notter's will be the poorer.

BAS has left before, been to and left many a forum... Including (unrelated) sometimes waspish letters to the Independent - back in the day.

He must be getting on in years now, so maybe hanging up the keyboard...
