Anyone got one of these bad boys

I borrowed one recently as I didn't have enough use for outright purchase.
They are a superb bit of kit with all the torque you need, and the only moan I had was that I couldn't get much weight behind it (this was between joists) and therefore I was prone to rounding off a few screws.
A pricey bit of kit!
Sometime before that I bought an angle driver attachment from Aldi. It drilled 2 holes in timber before stripping its gears. Absolute garbage but you live and learn!
John :)

oooo that looks good, but not the screwfix price of 200 quid.
only a handful of times have i had to hire out an angle drill in over 20 years.
saying that if some kind sole would like to give me one of those i would happily put it in my tool collection ;)

Embrace the Torx.

i have that version its an electronic torque control
the head moves to any angle' locks in several this has proved invaluable when other angle drivers/adapters or extension would not fit in

it gets into far smaller spaces than my dewalt 18v angle drill

i paid around £120 for the full kit
i wouldnt be without it for example i have made a cabinet 28" deep and internal where the runners are its 4 1/4" with 5/8" off screw sticking out theres enough room
pity it hasnt got a light to aid finding screws in such dark recesses ;)

in short it takes up very little room in confined spaces so easy to locate screw heads and see around i just point the torch up in the air for illumination

I appreciate it will be a bit torque limited, but just occassionally i need to get into limited spaces. seems like it might fit the bill. Yeah £200 notes a bit steep, think i can source it at about £120.

mmm the temptation will be there to buy the rest :D
impact driver
hammer drill
recip saw
inspection camera
tin cutter
lino/carpet cutter
screwdriver
angle driver
and a torch :D

my stuff is mainly makita, which will last a while yet. I just really fancy one of these, it would help on proably not too many occasions, but i hate struggling when i know there is a correct bit of kit out there.

Had a little play with one today... Damn I shouldn't have done that..... I have to have one now, xmas present I feel.

was it the old one or a new one with the bigger trigger and or a chuck

brand new one, ok it's not massively torquey and certainly wont replace my makita drill driver and impact driver (which I love!) but it will be a very significant tool in the old armoury!

Why will it? What do you do that requires it?
