Anyone have the key to unlocking a possible airlock?!

I've recently re-fitted my bathroom and drained my sealed central heating/hot water system in order to do this.

Last night I re-pressurised the system and bled the radiators but now have no water, hot or cold, coming out of the downstairs kitchen sink mixer tap.

I presume there must be an air lock somewhere in the pipes. Any ideas on how I can shift it would be greatly appreciated as the washing up is mounting!

The boiler is located upstairs and the downstairs radiators and tap are drop fed (not sure if that is the correct term). Would draining the system again and re-filling with the taps open help?

The Kitchen sink has to be connected to the cold mains supply and not the tank

Have you turned all the valves on.

sorry probs being a bit thick here but what are wmc valves?!

Thanks for your advice.

washing machine valves.
Your tap water isn't connected to your radiator water.

You haven't said how your water is heated - combi boiler or a conventional with a separate HW tank?

Many thanks, will try connecting the washing machine valves together.

It's a combination boiler.

I don't think it's the tap so possibly something I've done to the pipe work... which is rather worrying!

although everything I've worked on is above the off shoot for the cold water at least. I'm stumped! Will have to take another look.

There's no tank and I'm fairly certain there's only one valve...

Have you turned the Stopcock On and do you have any water anywhere hot or cold.

Yes stopcock is open and I get hot and cold water upstairs just not down...?

I opened the cold water washing machine valve last night and a small amount of water was released but then it stoppped. I've bled all the radiators throughout the house.
