Anyone heard or know where I can get 'pre-compressed wood'?

Apparently it's steamed & sealed in plastic. Then when openend, it's ready to be bent in a cold state without further steaming....

not shure how thats going to work as its the heat that loosens the fibres :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

seems to be engineered wood !!
i wonder to what extent mdf in a giant toothpast tube lol :D :D
 
I've handled the stuff.

It's beech that has compressed fibres or some such, you can just bend it like hard rubber, though my sample became brittle over a number of years and harder to bend.
