Two of the nylon rollers and my shower door have parted company, one where the door seems to have disintegrated and a repair is impossible. This of course means that the door is barely hanging on and is difficult to move so it is time for a new cubicle.

We have never been happy with the quality of this cubicle tray combination as it has been prone to leaks, so we looking to replace the lot, the only problem is which enclosure and which tray, within a reasonable budget as for the layman, there are a gzillion different manufacturers of enclosures and knowing what is good and what is not is really difficult.

What I am leaning towards is a stone resin easyplumb tray with four upstands (a Mira flight with riser kit perhaps) and a Manhattan 1200 slider with end panel.

Will this combination fit together and and any opinions or advice would be appreciated.

The reason I am looking at the 4 upstand tray is because a plumber fitted one for my mother and it is completely leak proof and i am a faily competent diy'er and plan to do the work myself.

thanks,

Mal

def go for a stone resin tray - you dont necessarily need the upstand version - as this might cause you diffciulties if you are swapping over.
leave a good clearance between tile and tray (about 5mm) for sealant. when you have got the tray in fitted and screwed down place something heavy in the middle of the tray BEFORE sealing (make sure you get as much sealant as you can into the gap before your final application - which should be done as one - i.e. sealing is one operation - dont allow first application to cure!) when you are happy with your finished seal and ensuring you have plenty of weight in the tray empty a can of expanding foam underneath the tray and leave for at least 24 hrs before use

hope this helps :)
