well i want to paint a wooden object that i have and i wanted it to have a nice two-tone effect. You know like some cars have where they seem to change colour at different angles?
Had a client who wanted this effect on a shop exterior once - the paint is £600 a litre (!) and needs special spraying application and primers. Managed to talk him out of it!
A car spray shop may be your best bet if you have your heart set on it.
To create an iridescent effect you can use a glaze over paint. Your local home improvement stores and craft stores will carry many types. I used the pearl glaze over antique white to give our walls an iridescent look. Or depending upon the effect you want to achieve there are spray paints that will do it too.
