I have a potterton main combi boiler installed 3 years ago and have since had a gas safe engineer and council inspector insist that there should be a lower cover protecting the condensate trap that protrudes below the boiler casing. I have explained that I questioned this myself at the time the boiler was installed and was assured by both the installer and Potterton/Baxi that no such cover exists.
I would just like to know if anyone else has come across this situation or does in fact know of a possible cover? There are features at the base of the casing that would suggest a possible slide assembly.

Not familiar with the boiler, but there's no cover shown on the official parts list

Thanks muggles, I've been there myself and even had it confirmed by Baxi but there's no getting away from the fact that there is unguarded stuff exposed and evidence of bracketry for something. Just thought I would try asking the community. Appreciate your response, many thanks
