And if so were you happy with them? They seem to be the only place in the UK claiming to stock a battery for an old right-angle Bosch blue drill of mine. It costs about £40 which is a bit under half the price of the pukka Bosch part, but the latter seems to be out of stock everywhere anyway. So obviously a pattern part - and they don't claim otherwise - but not so cheap as to make me suspect it's rubbish. The company claims to be based in Portsmouth and established 2019, but it's not on Trustpilot and I can't find Google or any other reviews. Later addition: I've now come across drill-battery.co.uk which appears to be the same company and is on Trustpilot - with a very poor rating.

I would steer clear of both. Both look like they might be Chinese firms pretending to be UK based. Neither provides their true trading names.

In the case of your's, they say that they have been in business since 2019. They didn't register the domain name until 25-May-2023

You could possibly look at UK based firms that will strip down the battery and replace the cells.

Do you mean these?

T.pilot gives them a rating of 3.2 but their overall rating across the web is a respectable 4.7 - how badly do you need the battery?

Company registration says they've been going for 25 years.

That is not the same company.

The OP's one says that have been trading since 2019 and are based in Portsmouth. The one you linked to are indeed legit.

Is the old battery nicad, nimh, or li-on?
Could you put new cells in the old case? Or modify another battery to fit? Or buy an adaptor?

It's Ni-Cad. I'll see if I can find someone to replace the cells. Thanks all.

The last time that I priced rebuild batteries for an old NiMH Festool drill, the cost of a rebuild with a UK firm was about 60% of the original cost of the no-longer available battery. I did consider spending £100+ on a cheap battery spot welder from eBay (and then resell it) but decided against it given that I didn't have enough batteries to rebuild.
