I’ve just killed my second Apple Watch from a brief spell in a swimming pool. My first one (series 4) died after a swim, which I put down to a chip in the screen. The second (series 6) has just died the same way. It turns out that despite having a swim feature and various water sports modes, it isn’t warranted to be waterproof. I assumed a watch with a swim feature would be.
