Appollo Fanfare 15 / 30

I have just moved in to a new rental that has an appollo Fanfare 15/30 boiler. the landlord assures me that it all works but trying to fire it up this morning i cant get the pilot light to come on.

I've read the instructions on the removable cover but nothing happens. if i turn it on at the mains things start to sound like they're functioning but obviously no heat.

When i press in the gas flow button i don't hear anything, is it possible the gas is turned off? I've tried the shut off valve out side in the cupboard in both positions.

have you tried pressing the igniter button black airc

Is it a card meter? The main control valve at the meter should be inline with the pipe (service). Do you have a gas hob? Is that working? if so gas is ok.
