The chimney coursing actually looks out of kilter with the house coursing as though it was added on.

Anyhoo, about £3k.

It was added on by previous owners poorly, im honestly not even sure if it's tied in, the base is falling away which is reason for removal as below

Also the fact that our dpm is that close to the floor I want to pull all the concrete and take it lower to redo but don't want to dig around the stack incase the foundations are already insufficient.....

Its not tied in.

What kind of flue liner does it have (if any) - clay or metal?

Perhaps no liner, and if solid fuel has been used then the outer brickwork will need replacing up the sooty flue line.

What about making good to interior fire openings, hearths and surrounds?

The roof and verge will also need making good. Plus the pathway surface.

It should come down soonest - course 12 is pushing out of plumb by about 15mm

As u can probably tell its to no surprise you've said its not tied in...there was no liner, gas fire already pulled out when we renovated inside so nothing to get rid of internally just the stack itself. Dont want pathway sorted as its on my list to redo the whole pathway, any ideas of cost at a guess? Your advice has always been cosher in the past

3k? Seems an awful expense and don't get me wrong I could be barking up the wrong tree for what seems like a 2 day job? A day removing & a day making good ?

No idea i'm afraid.

Ok cheers appreciate the help anyway!
So the fact it's not tied in, the main bit of work will be removing top section, refitting a new fascia, adding tiles & resiting ariel? I'm assuming a hammer & chisel to remove rest of bricks 1by1?
I'm half tempted to get the top section removed & sorted and take the rest down myself, would I have to inform BC?

No, at least i dont think so - but beware, if anything went wrong you would have to produce a HSE estimate for any kind of demo for working at heights.

If all of the masonry behind the chimney stack is still intact and that it will clean up ok, then this changes the complexion and cost of the job.
If you are happy leaving the brickwork as you find it (complete with 'scarring'), then it will cost a chunk less than £3k.
I would still put a figure of aboot £2300 on it though.
