Aqua Dial Scale Inhibitor

Hi all,

I'm trying to change the cartridge on our Aqua Dial Scale Inhibitor (http://www.waterdial.co.uk/p_aquadial/combi-care.php) but cannot remove the old one from the valve.

I've followed the instructions but it seems to be stuck in the valve and I can't remove it. Is this a common problem or is it likely that's it been left too long between changes so has corroded?

I'm sure this is a really stupid question but any help appreciated.

They are tricky little wotsits to get apart. Assuming you have turned the cartridge to the right position use a flat bladed screwdriver to CAREFULLY ease the cartridge from the valve. When fitting the new one a smear of silicone grease will aid fitting and subsequent removal.

Tried the screwdriver but with no luck. Looks like I may need to buy new connector!

Have you removed the cartridge and connecting assembly from the fitting in the pipe work?

Often this is needed to enable you to get better access and leverage to change the cartridge.

Afraid so - it certianly makes it easier to access but I still can't remove it!

Is it possible to buy a new connector on it's won or do you have to buy them with a new scale cannister?

AFAIK you have to buy the complete new one. I have done so for customers in the past, then slung the old one back for credit as faulty
