I have an aqualisa aquaforce 2 twin outlet pump with 3 installed to run a shower.
The pump and shower were installed in 2005, never given any problem,
but are rarely used, perhaps 10 times a year.
The pump is plumbed in to activate when the flow lever on the shower
is activated.
today, I tried the shower and heard the usual buzzing of the pump,
normally this happens for a few seconds before the pump kicks in.
Today the only flow was from the header tank.
I looked at the pump and felt water flowing through the pipes, but it made no difference to the rate of flow if I turned the pumps electrical spur, on or off.
I assumed there may be an airlock, so let the shower run, then the pump went quiet (no buzzing) and felt fairly hot.
I went back an hour later and tried gain, the pump was buzzing again, but refused to kick in and increase the flow rate.
Now I have established I have power and flow of water through the pump, is it possible to have some form of airlock (i have opened all taps no problem) or is there anything else to expect with an aqualisa pump?
I wonder of lack of recent use is part of the problem?
I would be grateful for any views from those more experienced than myself.
cheers.
