The instructions for fixing Aquapanel, say to fix using screws at 20cm centres, at the top of the wall, bottom of the wall and to battens at a 40cm pitch across the boards. It says that because shower hardware is often in the centre of an 80cm section, that this may involve using 3 battens instead of 2.
I have a stud in the corner of the room, one at 80cm that i added for the shower enclosure and there is another between them at 60cm from the corner, so I have gaps of 60cm and 20cm.
I'd rather not add another stud if it can be avoided as there is a lot of pipework in the way. Would the addition of some noggins be sufficent to oversome the deficiency in stud placement?
