Hi

Planning on getting an aquarium for the front room (ground floor)
The size will be approx 120cm x 40cm and hold 290ltrs (290 kg plus stand and rocks)

The house is an end terrace and will be placed against the back wall that sides onto the neighbours, between the chimney and the front wall.
The tank will be placed perpendicular to the joists which are supported by the back wall, will probably be across 4 or so joists

Does anyone think this standing weight would be an issue given its right up against the support and across the joists?

(The joists are floating above the soft dirt below)

Thanks

Figured the weight would be OK, was more concerned about the resting weight (or what ever the technical term is)
Four guys on a settee is a brief load, where as the aquarium would be a constant weight
