Arch Way - Some Help Please

Hi,

Just a couple of questions on behalf of someone else's attempt at building an archway, you can see pictures of it here: http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j158/weelass20/arch1.jpg

Has anyone got any idea's on how to smooth down the archway? if you look at the pics you can see it's uneven - she's tried to sand it down, but can't quite get it evenly smooth. She has tried sanding down by hand and powersander but can't get it evened out.

Also, any ideas on what to put at the top of the wood at each side?

Any ideas/tips would be apreciated - thanks!

OH Dear ..lol

your mate needs to get it plastered again around the arch , it wants keying /scratching an a coat of finishing plaster ...
hope this helps ....

an that bit of skirting .........Oh my how dreadful ..lol ...

I would take it off an have the whole arch replastered ,not a massive job for a plasterer.....

wont cost much for a plasterer too ..
