Arctic ice melting - maybe not

Nonsense yer self

The ford motor company lost a staggering
I
1.32 billion on its EV bussiness with each leccy car sold representing a loss of a 100 grand

Ford have scrapped plans for an all leccy 3 row large SUV as well as delaying the launch of its next battery leccy pack

Hardly surprising, as they struggle to make passable ICE cars. And they've had a century to get that right

You do know that was the plan? Apart from the battery pack. When they announced it in 2022 they were expecting to be loss making until 2026.

They're building out their manufacturing lines, that costs money. You need to read beyond the initial headlines tranny.

You need to sort yer self out and stop being a big head know all

Profitability for many auto makers on these EVs i hinges on government incentives and tax credits basically the poor / have nots subsidising the wealthy
Trump is likely to adopt an attitude of protecting
US industry and workers

Nett zero :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Until the (better, more economical, more efficient, faster, more reliable...........) EVs become cheaper in their own right.

And the "poor and have - not" don't subsidise anyone as they, by necessity and by design, don't.

You can't get blood out of a stone.

".... likely....."

:ROFLMAO:

How do you think that would work?

Drop US wages?

Or raise US prices so that they're even more uncompetitive?

So far on this thread we've learnt that the arctic ice is shrinking. Measures to control CFC emissions have worked to help repair the hole in the Ozone layer, that Ford's EV plans are broadly on track, that China's emissions might be starting to fall.

Pretty informative I think.

As a result it’s likely that more EV models will be cancelled and more petrol and diesel models introduced or at least up dated

As auto makers look to off set there EV losses

We have also learned how Tranny likes to amuse himself.

Diesels? Have you been living in a cave for the last decade?

So, it's an accepted reality that Ford make a balls - up of their ICE, and lose money hand over fist doing so......

... and your genius solution is.......

Blame something else (y)

Are you Ford senior management?

As I've said before, I'm now in my 50s so, if lucky, have 2.5 - 3.5 decades left. I could be proved wrong, however I can't imagine the situation here in the UK will get dramatically worse climate wise within that time.

Conclusion? I couldn't really give two hoots.
