Are there any decent freestanding baths?

Read a lot here about poor design and quality in modern freestanding baths. Is it the general concept that's flawed? Do you have to go to cast iron or stone resin to get decent quality? If good quality acrylic then do I look for separate skirt or all in one? Legs or to the floor? Replacing a 1920s cast iron bath and have budget of £700 absolute tops. Is it feasible to get decent, modern freestanding bath for this?

Anyone recommend a make?

Been a long while since I did a free stander, last one was in a very plush house in Highgate. Might have been a Duravit, it was top quality though.

The freestanding Duravit does look good but £2k is a bit over budget! (ours isn't a plush house!!!)
I see a lot of Clearwater baths around. Is that a decent make?

Not fitted any of their stuff tbh so can't really comment. I had a quick look on their website though and their price range isn't that far off Duravit's!

Sell that beast on eBay - you`d be surprised what £ people will pay for genuine 20`s bath room kit That`ll be refurbed and sold for £££
