Hi

I am planning to build a pent roof shed attached to the side of the house. I have been given some timber for the job from my father in law.

A piece of treated wood which is 47mm x 150mm by 4.8 metre is the one I have planning to attached to the side of the house wall, to which the roof battens will sit on.

My question is, I am not sure what fixing I should use to attached it to the wall.

I have some fischer SXR 10 x 120 Z

Are these up to the job, based on the weight or should I consider cement screws?

Any advice welcome.

Thanks

They look ok.

They look like the type of fixing that the plastic sleeve gets stuck in the timber unless you get the exact right drill bit - or too large and the head pulls through.

What's is the wall, brick? Hard or soft

Hi Notch7

Cheers for your reply.

The wall is Brick
