I was just outside having a ciggy and watched the full moon disappear behind a tree. I got thinking about the speed of the earth's rotation so I googled it.
At 52 degrees north we're whizzing round at about 650 miles an hour, which is nothing compared to the speed we're going round the sun at, 66,600 miles an hour or thereabouts apparently. It didn't say how fast the sun's going round the galaxy thank christ.
