Ariston AB1030C wahing machine wont start

Hi,

My washer drier wont start. I put washing in, detergent, closed the door, selected the program and turned it on. The doors locked but it's not doing anything. Tried all I can think of and my washing is still locked in a machine which is compleately unresponsive.

Please help, I'm a bit of a mumpty when it comes to stuff like this.

check the brushes in the motor.

Right, took the back off the machine and there is nothing obviously wrong with it, i.e. nothing burnt out.

Any idea what I'm actually looking for buddy?
