Ariston Boiler constantly firing

i have an ariston boiler which when you have the heating or hot water on ignites and runs for a few seconds and then turns off, then almost immediately ignites again.

Any susgestions as to what the problem might be or is this normal?

It seems to have a fault!

Does it eventually stay lit?

Do you ever get it serviced?
