The metal frame which holds the door seal on my Ariston dishwasher has come away. It looks like it was originally spot welded to the dishwasher body, but obviously not very well. I've tried Araldite metal glue but the heat from the wash cycle seems to weaken it such that it just comes loose again. Any suggestions?

This was a common problem and The Indesit Company came up with a fix for it.
The fix consisted of a drill bit, tube of silicone and a pack of self tapping screws.
Use a centre punch and go around the cabinet and punch at every spot weld, then drill a small hole in each of the places punched, run sealant around and finally put a small self tapping screw in.
Other than that, it's a write off.
