Hi there , my ariston dishwasher has broken, not sure the model , but it is about 5 years old.

power on with door open, when door closes trips the rcd.

any ideas????

heater or on off switch, you need a meter to check .

I have a meter, what checks do I need to do??

check the heater first should 30 ohms ish ,then see if door lock is shorting out .

how do I check lock is shorting out???? when you say heater, where will that be????

heater is underneath the mc pull out and tip onto the left hand side ,door lock remove consol panel and see if wires are melted .
