Following tips and hints from this and other web sites, iv hopefully diagnosed my boiler problem as a faulty diaphragm in my diverter v/v. (No DHW when asked for. Spindle not making micro switch to start boiler.)
I have 3 queries.
firstly, when iv fitted the new diaphragm what do i need to do then? Im guessing there will be air in the system so is it just as easy as bleeding the rads or do i have to look for a better bled point somewhere in the boiler itself.?
Secondly, Im i best to desludge the system with an additive before or after the diaphragm replacement
And finally on a slightly different theme, My central heating is controled by a danfoss 103 mechanical controller, however it is not very flexible as i work shifts and i would like to fit an 7 day or a 5/2 day electronic timer instead. Could someone please advise on a suitable like for like, no changes to the wiring replacement before i shell out the money.
Im a time served mechanical maintainance engineer so i kinda know what im doing.
Thanks
