Ariston Genus 38 HE Combi- No hot water

Any ideas as to why the hot water is not running hot?
Pressure is fine and water is flowing from the tap but the boiler doesnt come on . Heating works fine. No fault codes showing and the tap symbol is there alongside the radiator but it doesn't seem to realise the hot tap is running. Flow switch or diverter valve maybe?

Again I don't know these boilers too well, but if the display is showing the tap symbol when the hot tap is on then it appears that theflow switch is working.

DV wouldn't stop it firing

I see what you are saying but the tap symbol is always there just to tell you it is in DHW mode with illuminated bars underneath for the temperature setting of the water, same for the heating mode with a radiator symbol. When the heating is on though, it says on the screen that it is on and the flame symbol appears. But when you turn on the hot tap there is nothing?

In that case then the flow switch needs checking first using a multimeter, if this is ok then the wires connecting it and so on until you can pin point the fault.
