Ariston micro genus HE24 boiler problems

Hi, as per title.Our boiler is not giving us a constant supply of hot water, although the heating side is fine.
When we turn the taps on full we get a blast of hot water which quickly turns cold. I have to turn the taps down to almost a trickle to get hot water. I have noticed that I have to keep re-pressurising the boiler ( about once a week) and this gives us one run of hot water at a decent flow rate although not full flow. boiler then reverts back to hot water at a trickle.
Any help greatly appreciated.

At first sight it would appear to be a blocked plate HE following a leak which has been ignored until the system has become sludge up and blocked the plate!

But refilling would not normally make much difference to the plate HE.

Obviously to properly diagnose the problems I would need to be at the boiler.

Hi mate, thanks for your reply. We`ve had no leaks on the system. was installed approx 4 years ago and we`ve had this problem for roughly six months. Am I looking at mega expense?
