ariston sx20 mains fuse blowing

Hi ppl hoping you could possibly help

I have an Ariston SX20 boiler recently the FCU fuse had blown, having replaced the 3amp fuse the boiler would operate but would blow the fuse again within a very short period of time

having spoken to an enginer i have been informed it could it be the pump or the pump head?

any ideas which it could be

if any
the pump head the body has no electrics in it

might also be the fan

thanks for your quick reply had another engineer visit who advised just to replace the whole boiler! as something else would fail next time as the boiler is old

at the moment money is a bit tight so really dont want to replace the boiler unless i have to

should i go ahead and purchase the pump rather than the pump head?

no you should have it tested before you spend anything

as i said it may not be the pump
