Ariston washer/dryer model AB1030C not working

Hello!
I have an Ariston washer dryer which was working fine until yday. Was in the middle of a wash cycle when it stopped suddenly. THe power on/off light doesn't work when i switch it on , but i can hear a faint tick tick sound from the back of the machine. Wat could be the problem ? Any Suggestions please?
