Asbestos advice

Hi there,

I live in an 1950s house and my loft is boarded with "cover boards" like the one shown in the photos.
I was wondering if this is likely to be asbestos. I'll probably get it tested - can anyone recommend anywhere?

If it was installed before 2000 then it might well contain asbestos, especially in council houses 9they were very fond of it!). You can get testing kits on-line from quite a few labs in the UK such as Cornerstone. There's also some useful advice on the HSE website, here

Looks worthy of suspicion to me - what did the test result come back as?
